This engaging session will explore pathways for collaboration between South African filmmakers and European partners, offering practical insights into accessing Italian and EU film funds and building successful international co-productions.The workshop will feature Corrado Azzollini, President of Confartigianato Cinema e Audiovisivo, who will share first-hand perspectives on Italian production and funding landscapes, and highlight opportunities for creative exchange. Mandisa Zitha, Festival Director of Encounters, will join the conversation to discuss the festival’s role in strengthening connections between African and European documentary industries.
