ANTONIO FALDUTO
Presidente
Antonio Falduto, laureato al DAMS di Bologna, collabora come assistente alla regia volontario di Steno, Federico Fellini, Ugo Gregoretti ed Ettore Scola.
Nel 1991 realizza il suo primo lungometraggio ANTELOPE COBBLER, presentato in numerosi festival. (Premio speciale della giuria al festival di Annecy).
Negli anni successivi dirige numerosi spot pubblicitari e a carattere sociale. Nel 2003 inizia la sua collaborazione come consulente artistico di diversi festival Internazionali.
Continua l’ attività di sceneggiatore su progetti internazionali, con il sostegno di RAI Cinema e Istituto Luce.
Nel 2000 fonda l’associazione culturale Controluce
Nel 2006 scrive KAMUKOLA, sceneggiatura premiata dal fondo Hubert Bahls del festival di Rotterdam e dirige la serie documentaria MAGIC AND TRADITIONAL HEALING per la SABC sudafricana.
Nel 2007, scrive “HAN IL FALSO”, sceneggiatura opzionata da Giuseppe Tornatore e Cristaldi Pictures.
NEL 2009 scrive “GANGOR” diretto da Italo Spinelli e prodotto da BIBI Film e RAI Cinema, prima coproduzione italoindiana. (Film in competizione al festival di Roma 2010). Realizza il documentario “La città nel cinema, il cinema nella città”.
Nel 201011 realizza come regista, IL CONSOLE ITALIANO, una coproduzione italosud africana, con il sostegno di MIBAC, NFVF e RAI CINEMA. (Competizione al festival di Taormina 2011).

Lavora come regista alla realizzazione delle installazioni video “Home and Away”, “A matter of time” and “Snow white”and “Vapour” É stata esposta nella Biennale delle arti di Venezia 2005.

Katey Lee Carson
Collaborator
Born and raised in Cape Town, Katey Lee Carson’s creativity is inspired by an eclectic mix of urban pop culture and classic cinema. As a producer, writer, and director, her films combine a unique observation of the world with sincere storytelling techniques to bring life to her work, and the subjects themselves.
She connected with the film medium when she made her first short film, Ginger Curry, which won Best Film at the University of Cape Town short film competition, in 2011.
In 2012, another of Katey’s films, The Washing Up, was selected to screen at the Sundance Film Festival. In a collaboration between Google+ and New York-based Ghetto Film School, she was the youngest participant, at only 20, to have her work shown.
After Katey’s international film début, she was then selected as one of Africa’s top 40 up and coming filmmakers to attend the Durban International Film Festival Talent Campus 2013 in collaboration with the Berlinale Talent Campus.
Broadening her theoretical and technical knowledge of Film, Katey graduated from the University of Cape Town with a double major in Film Production, and Italian Language and Literature, in 2013. As her final thesis film, she wrote and directed the short film Harold, which went on to win Best Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound Design at the Cape Town and Winelands Film Festival and screened at various international festivals included the Durban International Film Festival, The Shnit International Film Festival and Africa in Motion.
Katey is now a freelance writer, producer and director, working in the local industry and with international companies that wish to realize their films in South Africa. Her most recent independent project, Painting Cape Town, is a documentary about the graffiti movement in Cape Town that premiered at the Durban International Film Festival.
Andrea Couvert

Andrea Couvert moved to Cape Town 11 years ago from Turin, Italy. Having worked in social co-operatives and development agencies for over 15 years, he has an extensive experience in developing communication projects such as documentaries, magazines and multimedia exhibitions. In South Africa he has been volunteering with an NGO working with refugees, has worked as project manager for an IT Co-operative, then became art director in a graphic design company and is now CEO of the communication agency Slowdesign.

Bettina Elten
Collaborator
Bettina trained as an art restorer at the Central Institute for Art Restoration in Rome, Italy and has worked as founding member and technical director of the Consortium ARKE ‘ (1985) with headquarters in Rome. She carried out restorations for Italian and International superintendencies and assisted in professional training programmes at ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property), and for the Italian Foreign Ministry and their cooperation and development programmes.
In 2001 she moves to Cape Town for family reasons where she works on commission for institutions and businesses such as the SA National Gallery, University of Cape Town, Stevenson Gallery, Fine Arts, Italian Embassy, various Western Cape wine farms and Nazareth House. Lecture for the University of Cape Town (Conservation Week of the Curatorship programme). She also paints portraits on commission.
In the same year she got involved with Controluce in the organization of the first edition of the Italian Film Festival in Cape Town, with Antonio Falduto and Albert Ianuzzi.
Ever since she has been working with Controluce and the Festival on a yearly basis, organizing local logistics and contacts.
