NUOVO CINEMA ITALIANO is a new film festival showcasing critically acclaimed films by a new wave of Italian filmmakers. The festival’s handpicked selection of brand new films aims to spotlight internationally recognised and emerging talent, while celebrating some of Italy’s most beloved film directors through special screenings of their first or latest films.
All films in the program premiered at some of the leading Italian and European film festivals and are presented exclusively.
Nuovo Cinema Italiano is curated by two experienced Italian film professionals, Antonio Falduto and Christian Pazzaglia.
The festival is presented by IIC Sydney, Associazione Controluce, MiBACT
